Frigiliana

Frigiliana is an enchanting whitewashed village located in the province of Málaga, in the Andalusia region of southern Spain.
The village is nestled in the mountains of the Sierra de Almijara, about 6 kilometers inland from the coastal town of Nerja.
Frigiliana is known for its picturesque streets, historic architecture, flower-filled patios, and stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding mountains.

HISTORY
Frigiliana has a rich history dating back to Phoenician times, as evidenced by archaeological discoveries in the area.
During the Moorish rule, it was known as Ifriqiyyah and served as an important agricultural settlement and trading post.
After the Christian reconquest in the 15th century, Frigiliana became part of the Kingdom of Castile and retained its Moorish influences in architecture and cultural traditions.

Casco Antiguo:
